Younger cyclamen corms can be the best way to create a ‘drift of cyclamen’ quickly as they allow a larger area to become established at lower cost.
Many of these younger Cyclamen Hederifolium have flowered at the Nursery and most should flower in the autumn next year.
You should get a reasonable display from these corms in the first flowering season – late summer/autumn – and it will rapidly improve over the years.
After perhaps 3 years the corms will need to be at least 1 ft apart if grown as a block – until then they may be planted closer if you wish and when they need to be more widely separated they should be transplanted in early summer, when dormant, to a more suitable spacing.
These corms will mostly be of the pink flowered form but the collection may include a few corms with white flowers.
The corms are lifted from our nursery beds and are sent out bare-rooted all year round.
Please note we sell living corms (plants) not dried corms.
Depending on the time of year they are sent out they may have leaves, flowers, seed pods – or nothing visibly growing if it is the dormant period.
They need planting as soon as they are received.
