Description
Bundle of mixed 3 to 5 ft (0.9 to 1.5 m) lengths of ‘Dead’ Willow : (Salix Viminalis “Bowles Hybrid”) This willow is suitable for ‘rough’ weaving, such as garden border edging, plant supports and simple weaving projects.
The photograph shows the two halves of a whole bundle.
PLEASE NOTE : This item can only be collected from the Nursery (by appointment). We are afraid that we are unable to send with a carrier until early December.
These bundles are available outside the living willow season (which is early December to late February) whilst supplies last.
During this period the longer length bundles – 3 to 5 ft (0.9 to 1.5 m) and 4 to 6 ft (1.2 to 1.8 m) are only available for collection ! Please call us on 01536 791371 or email anne@willowsnursery.co.uk to check on availability and to arrange payment.
‘Dead’ Willow’ ** What we mean by ‘dead’ is that this willow is intended to be used for ‘rough’ weaving (such as border edging or plant supports) rather than as living willow for rooting.
Please note that we are providing willow only, not weaving instructions – the additional photographs are included only as examples of possible projects that this willow can be used for – you can see more ideas here.
** Please note that this willow will dry out and, if it is to be used for weaving from around late April onwards, it will need soaking before it is pliable again. Full instructions will be provided.
