‘ADAPTED’ TUNNEL :
In our standard kits the main structural whips overlap and are woven together.
The maximum whip length we were originally allowed to send was 9 ft (2.7 m) and this restricted the size of the structures that could be made. Due to customer demand we then offered the ‘adapted’ kits which contain some longer plus some extra whips to allow ‘bigger’ ie taller and/or wider Tunnels and Domes to be made. The main structural whips do not need to fully overlap because they are held together by the extra linking whips which are tied in to hold the shape of the structure until new growth on the rooted whips can be woven in to take their place – with average growth this should be by early July.
This kit is intended to be bought together with ‘Adapted’ Tunnel Kit Ref WK 108 to extend that tunnel by a further 6 ft (1.8 m) per extension purchased.
The kit contains : 10 x 9 ft (2.7 m) and 20 x 8 ft (2.4 m) willow whips and will create a tunnel extension having up to the following maximum dimensions – inside height 6 feet 6 inches, length 6 feet & width at base/path 6 feet (2 x 1.8 x 1.8 m).
Full instructions and twine are included.
This item must be delivered by a carrier at a cost of £19.00 per order and cannot be sent by Royal Mail or Hermes.
